I have had a pretty good run on Kickstarter so far with no disappointing pledges. I discovered Kickstarter late last year and have enjoyed browsing it many times since.
7 Days to Die - Fantastic alpha so far. Great fun to play with friends over Mumble. The developers release significant updates very often and the game keeps getting better.

Epic Space Online - I find this a nice peaceful game to play. It has a lot to do but can be pretty slow paced due to the vast distances involved. I don't play it much due having other alternatives which I want to play more but I would like to get into again, especially as they have released some of the capital ships.

Rimworld - This game is a lot of fun and very functional even in alpha. It is the project of a single guy but he has great vision and knows what he is doing. This is going to be a very popular game when finished. Unfortunately it is only single player and, as I prefer multiplayer, I don't play it as much as other games I have.

Planets³ - This game looks like it has a lot of potential. Alpha has not been released yet so time will tell. The concept is very appealing.

Universim - This projects kickstarter just launched but their pitch sold it for me. Managed to get the $10 early bird. While the alpha would probably be interesting I have to many other alphas/betas already and thus I think will just wait till it comes on steam.

Let's hear other people's Kickstarter stories?
