Kill Missions

When you go to the bulletin board and get the missions to go and kill an NPC, it doesn't really let you know how powerful that NPC is, or what ship they are flying. Does anyone know if there is more info to be had? - I suppose the bigger reward indicates how tough they are, but this seems somewhat vague?

Its just vague. Most missions i have taken were Anacondas from master to elite. I think I also had a couple of clippers and dropships...
In my opinion, not a good way to make money!

Buy shield cells, and get up close to enemy. If you don't understand mission, welcome to the club - neither does FD, they don't care abouaut trifling matters like gameplay

I do these missions a lot and I've found that if the mission reward is in the 20k - 50k credits range it's usually a guy in an Orca. If it's a 100k + and the guy is a general he will be in a federal dropship, if the guy isn't a general, he will be in an anaconda. The orca's are a cakewalk, as are the federal dropships. I struggle with the anacondas, but then I don't equip shield cells so if you use them you might be ok.
