Newcomer / Intro Kill trader mission

Took said mission, has choice of 3 locations, went to the one in anarchy sector first, could not find any traffic, no traders in any uss, went to a fed sector, killed 4 traders, got wanted, went to nearest base to pay fine, was unable? So went to the issuing base, no sign of mission! Awoke this morn to find wanted status gone?

dont like these vague missions.....but you need to go to the first location in the mission usually....trawl the uss points and you will be redirected /given info by a kind messenger (usually).... i only take missions v 1 or its at a specific place (war zone etc )

I just killed a player but all my efforts were undone ! why can I dock then be destroyed in one go even when I have a cobra with better everything and have to sell stuff when I had already the cash ! what the !!!!!!!

I won't even take these missions.... It all just ends in tears.
As paul1828 says, they're too vague and you find yourself being wanted and ultimately wasting hours of time searching and/or repeatedly going to other systems to pay off fines to release yourself from being wanted.
Its crazytown !

Only take those missions if a target system is anarchy. Otherwise you will get a wanted status.

You dont need ro hunt USS though. Nsv beacons are good places to find plenty of targets.

I was having a bit of trouble with "Wanted" status this morning... (my own fault) the only way I could clear it was flying to a outpost.... whereupon I found I could not pay the fine... even though the alliengence was correct etc

mmmmmmmm

so I did the the age old computer trick

logged out... logged in..... hey presto............ "wanted" gone.... I just don't know at the moment :(

Can't you just kill wanted status traders and be fine? Like at a nav beacon. Kill some wanted haulers.

I've never taken any of these missions as I am not planning on killing clean pilots but I assumed you'd be fine just looking for wanted haulers.

I had a heart-warming experience today while doing my usual trade route mostly unarmed and full of cargo near my starting place.
Someone interdicted my ship very close to my destination and after a short time I had been kicked out of hyperspace.
BUT the ship who interdicted me was not NPC, he not deployed hardpoints and i got vicinity message from a CMDR saying sorry for disturbing.
Before the message i was frightened but with that everything turned just right :)

I know i'm very lucky next time i have to fight or run like hell!
But maybe for making the first steps of beginners easier, why not newcomers already in ally with the local government?

I hate getting interdicted, I almost always start shooting who did it without checking their status first. Sometimes I end up wanted because of it but if they didn't want to get shot, they should have left me alone.

I always start running first and as I am boosting I check who it is on contacts and if they are a pushover I turn around and deploy hardpoints...

Yup, wanted traders are ideal. ;)
