Kill Warrant Scanner issues

Dear GD,

Since purchasing my KWS, I have had nothing but issues with the damn thing, whenever I use it, it takes waaaaaaay longer than the advertised 10s scan time and intermittently stops and starts mid scan.

Aside from the obvious, I am within range at all times, I am "steady" in my aiming, I am not taking my finger off the button.

What is causing this? Is there something I can do to have a functional KWS?

Is it perhaps your mouse? I haven't had an issue with my KWS and from what you say you are doing it seems like the only logical explanation.

Maybe range? Its the only thing you didnt cover.

Also you dont have some kind of autofire or keyrepeater on your trigger do you?

It's bound to my thumb trigger on my joystick. I'll try remapping it to the keyboard and see if it changes. Cheers.

Even if you're in range with your finger on the button, you need to be pointed at the ship. My scanner pauses when the other ship get out from in front of me, until I can get him back in front of me (at which time the scanner resumes the scan). You should also hear an audible tone to indicate the scanner has temporarily lost its lock.
