Kill warrant scanner question....

Hello commanders!

Bought for my ASP a KWS (A0).... 1,7M or so. Anyway...

What I encountered, is that when ships are recongnized they show up OR CLEAN, or WANTED. Now what I thought, was that if I SCAN with the KWS the CLEAN SHIP, it MIGHT turn WANTED for me as searched in other systems... but so far I think I were wrong.

It adds to an already WANTED ship bounties of other systems if they are wanted elsewhere.... so a CLEAN ship remains ALWAYS CLEAN, and will never turn over WANTED just because I scan it with the KWS...... right???

So when I see a CLEAN ship, no use to SCAN it with the KWS........

tia :)

If it is marked as clean without the use of the scanner, then it is clean in the system you are currently in (or correspondingly wanted).
The KWS only scans for bounties from other systems (Fed, Empire or Alliance).
If you attack it whilst it is clean, you will become wanted but will gain the bounties from the other systems.

The Clean you are seeing is for the current system only, the KWS gives status based on all systems and this shows up in the contacts screen

Now in an Anarchy system a ship is always clean as it is not wanted by the current sys]tem, but a KWS scan of it may give bounties from else where and make it far game for bounties to be won

In a non anarchy system if a ship shows as clean but wanted somewhere else using the KWS, you might want to think twice about attacking it as you will get a bounty on you from that system as you are attacked a clean ship there...

Hope that helps
