Yes, finally!
I haven't engaged the Thargoids in some time.
My first ever engagement went ever so slightly wrong...
(This was back when they was invincible anyway!)

After that, I didn't bother with anything but scouts, and even then, there was very little incentives.
But the Thargoids are threatening systems near my squadrons home, so a new AX ship was needed.
The GXV Athena.
(My actual ship doesn't have any modifications on the HRPs yet, but everything else is about the same)
Not much experience with the new Alliance ships, but it worked well!
Couldn't get my turrets to do anything first time around. But didn't matter.
I'm pretty pants with railguns, but I managed to kill the first interceptor I found, and escape with just 1 guass cannon working. Everything else was broken.
Didn't manage to dodge a single shutdown field either. Lol
And got slimed about 15 billion times!
Docked with about 11% hull.
Not bad for a first try!
Second try went slightly worse.
I died. Lol
But I got my turrets working!
(No idea how)
Was good fun though. Ship requires some refinements, then it'll be good to go.
