Dumb question, I'm currently allied to the Empire and was wondering if I fought this war against the empire would it deduct my points from the empire? Has anyone tried and tested this? 26,500 LS to the empire dock is quite far so i feel slightly lazy to fly the distance to cash in the rewards lol.

Right, because eventually we will have to pick a faction and fight it out through PvE or PvP in conflict zones. I am allied to all three major factions and it also seems inevitable that reputation will decrease with each action you do against another major factions. Thats why i asked about the independent faction vs the empire.

How many games have had an update that people thought were gonna make so many good changes just to watch their hopes disappear like a fart in the wind. Don't put to much hope into. Expect the worst and then you won't be disappointed

Honestly this is 1 thing I don't agree with about CG. If your actions are supposed to affect how the factions feel about you then why is there a completely safe place for actions not to count

This does need to happen!
Being an Imperial pilot should mean fighting against them would have repercussions, it's always seemed strange to me that you can be high ranking in both main factions without consequences, hopefully Powerplay will change this.

I've been trying to find the backstory/lore for it. Any ideas? I heard from a streamer that Patreus is collecting his debt and making prisoners slaves or something.
Some are fighting against the traitor Patreus rather than the empire.
I did some fighting at the CZ in protecting against Patreus and while it had no negative effect on my empire rank or me being friendly with them it also made me friendly with the alliance.
