Kinda of worried...

I was 16 when the original came out. Does that count :p Seriously though I know of a guy who's about 17 iirc that plays the game and also streams on twitch (OneVigor).

Wasnt even 16 when i was introduced to the series. I started playing Frontier Elite 2 when I got it for my 4th birthday. Wasn't around for the original but I spent years (all of them pre internet) unsucessfully trying to find a copy.

Don't worry we are all around 16 when we played the original Elite, the fact that we are all still here means most of us still are.

ROFL! Too damn true, 'cept for the all the excess baggage picked up along the way, wish they could be packed off for an extended holiday to WREDGUIA YD-I C23-11 or just jettisoned.

Worried about what? Elite is shaping up to have a dedicated and mature audience!

Now get off my lawn! :D

With respect -- and with a great deal of personal surprise given the maturity and intellect of this game's previous titles, I haven't found that to be the case at all. I find that the resident Borg of this forum are only dedicated to having a multiplayer pew-pew-pew game, whatever that costs this game in terms of maturity and depth. The Borg's 1-star and 2-star ratings of threads that come anywhere close to agitating for increased realism and maturity in this game speak volumes to the maturity here IMO.

A glossy space shooter is probably perfect for many although I hope the game itself developes in the direction of adventure and a longer life span.

Maturaty has not so much to do with age of 16 or 60 years. My guess is everybody playing this game is possitively connected by it's inner nerd to live Elites space fantasy.

Dont worry, they are just reacting to the way the rest of the forum jumps up and down on their tender bits every time they kick off another thread whingeing that ED isnt their kind of game. ;)
