this was my first reaction too...
maybe for headtracking? (sorry, i have no idea what kinect is capable of).
i can't imagine steering a ship by waving hands or jumping around in front of the screen....
i think that it will be perfect with oculus:
- voice command (like voice attack program)
- gesture, see your hand/arm in oculus monitor to interact with pannel ui, hangar, etc..
