Kinectimals - Edge Interview with David Braben

David Braben, Founder of Frontier, recently sat down with Edge to discuss Kinectimals as part of their Kinect cover feature which can be read in full in Edge 218 (available in UK stores). The interview sees David Braben answering questions on the wide-ranging appeal of Kinectimals, working with new software such as Kinect and why the device (and Kinectimals) is a great fit for core gamers.

Read the full interview on Edge Online, or pick up the latest copy of Edge Magazine at your local store.

Once again, when David gives a rare interview, it saddens me that some people feel the need to slam everything he does by posting ill researched, ill conceived or downright nasty opinions. It's no wonder then he strictly controls how much (or little) info gets out about Frontier Development's projects. :( I would just like to say to David, that not everyone thinks as these "people" do. They are a minority! Kinectimals is a charming little game and I am sure it will be a strong seller. :)

It's true, people do always moan about new things or change. Although I really didn't like the Wii, when I had a go on it, and all those that I know who had one have since sold it. But there's something about the Kinect that makes it exciting (probably just the Minority Report style menu navigation system).

With regards to the subtle changes to gaming, in particular the head tracking, are there any plans of implementing Kinect into The Outsider?
