Hardware & Technical Kit/setup ideas?

Ok, so this is all a little moot until Christmas Day, when I have a Saitek X-52 Pro turning up, but what sort of setup do people recommend with it? I currently have a Steelseries Apex gaming keyboard attached, which is nice and versatile, but the HOTAS is going to take up a big chunk of desk on its own. I also have a Logitech G13 gameboard, which I've never really got to grips with, but is far smaller than a proper keyboard. Has anyone out there used a HOTAS/G13 combo or similar and can offer advice? This is the first joystick-based sim I'll have used since, iirc, Red Baron 2. Yeah, I feel crumbly just typing it...

Well, I've been looking around the web for better cheap setup ideas as well. Virtual solutions, with smartphones or tablets, weren't really satisfying (at least on Android) so I've been searching for physical solutions as well. Numpads was the simplest and cheapest solution I could come up with but then, I found this the A4Tech X7-G100 (sorry can't link it, new user, but it's about 15€ over at Amazon.de/uk/es)

It's certainly not as fancy as a Logitech solution but hey, look at the price and the reviews I've read only are rather good. Beside, I like its bulky look...

For occasional Elite gaming, I think it's perfect...
