Kitted Clipper vs Python, make your choice!

I still have to fly the Python and, at the moment, I'd probably buy it only for the landing at outposts capability, because I love the agility and speed of my Clipper, but I'd like to hear more about it and its advantages. I'm also used to fire gimballed weapons, so I don't mind that much to have more central hardpoints. Maybe could the extra hardpoint be worth it?

Main selling points to me are:
1. Much higher shield strenght (even post nerf)
2. Ability to land at outposts
3. Excellent hard point convergence

In a hypothetical Python vs Clipper scenario, the Python can just reverse thrust, relying on its superior shields, and spam chaff.
