Are we going to get the Krait?

It has been known for some time that the krait is one of the 30 ships that will be in game.

The voices you hear in the Hauler and Adder when in SC or in Hyperspace they all whisper:
"Krait... Kraaaaiiiit.... Kraaaaaaaaaaaaaaiiiiiiiiiiiit."

I would love to see it.

One of the more menacing(IMO) looking ships from the original . . .

Whats so special with this fighter. Two hard points like Sidey? Probably the same performance as well or? But looking at the picture, it seems all engines and little else. So it should outperform all other fighters

A solid ship is either built around a large weapon,
or a large engine.

There is nothing speedier, than a Krait,
judging from the pics.
A rocket shuttle. Speedy agile, just what i need.
If it fields a bigger cargo hold than Sidey n Eagle i'm game.

I remember good times with the Krait in E:F2 with insane jumping range and decent armament.

I asked David whether the Krait was planned in one of the Q and A's , he said that currently there were no plans to implement it.

It made me a little sad.

Exact words :

Q: Will we ever see the Krait in game?, was always my favourite ship.

A: Sadly it is not on our current list. That's not to say it couldn't be added in the future. I liked it too, even though it is quite a simple shape.

We the people and players of E: D shall have a vote for the glory of the Krait!

We don't need more cargo haulers,
we don't need more multi-purpose ships refitted into something else,
we need a solid combat ship and a solid explorer in the lower price rankings
to come.

I'd like for there to be a Krait available.

But I'd also like to see more new designs - the Imperial ships look great! But I want to start seeing sleeker Federal designs too. Then we can have the best of both worlds - the iconic originals (I love flying the Cobra) and, moving on with the times, sleeker and sexier new designs.

They are cargo hatch ticklers,
for pleasing trading ships that have taken too much load
and helping them release some.

(Might be antennas too, like on the eagle)

I'm currently flying the Adder which I thought was the coolest looking ship in the original beeb Elite, but not so keen on the new flying brick porkified version

I'm definitely in the "let's have all the original ships back, even if MkII versions" from the very first Elite so that ED really is then a "superset" of the original. So Kraits and Mambas please

The Krait assault craft has to be in E

its been in ALL Elite games from the original Elite (pirate ship) to Frontier (Krait assault craft with teeth on), to FFE more detailed version of Frontier so it has to be in E

and its one ship I would buy and use instead of the sidewinder. Yes the ship list is nice but iconic Elite ships have to be in there otherwise its not Elite.
