News Krait Expectations (26/06 - 7:00 PM BST)

I want a Python MK 2 with SLF. Can be the same as is now, but with a enough room for it. I love my Python but it really is good for nothing these days except as an armed cargo runner

I'm curious on the jump range achievable, in the stream it had 16 ly with a bulky-ish build with a SLF. I figure if you engineered that particular loadout it would be in the mid 20's and there seems plenty of room for downsizing/optimizing modules for jump range.

If this can hit at least 50 ly with a SLF/SRV's & no compromises on other modules such as AFMU I may take this on DWE 2.

I'd hazard a guess, that a fully engineered, stripped out krait will max around 31ly, more than enough for an explorer ship, I'll be replacing my 17ly explorvette with a krait :)

Just what I was looking for

I mean ... gunship is locked by navy grade. Challenger would not (apparently). And it could explain the 2 seats ... because right now... I don't understand. (maybe for mining ?)

Best I can think of is extra pips. I don’t really have much in the way of mats or time, otherwise I’d make a missile ship out of that Chief 2.0. I’d go with three large plasmas and six Dumbfire missiles. Uh.... now I have to do it. The Krait does look very interesting though. Potentially a powerful new addition to the combat scene.

Plunk on a Guardian FSD booster and you'll probably get around 40 LY jump range.

Loaded up this morning and passed on most of my Python stuff to it. Nice ship, FD, credit where it’s do. This feels like a proper multipurpose that can be set for anything moderately well without replacing any of the other ships. Look forward to using it more.

The ship is just amazing.
Exactly what I wanted: centered cabin, wide window, large hardpoint position is fantastic, acceptable speed and maneuverability.
Interesting design, don't care but looks like upside down viper mk4 :)
