Krait request

To put it simply; instead of putting new ships in ED why not put in some of the iconic ones from the other Elites?

You have things like Krait assault craft, Mamba, Wolf Mk2, and countless others.

I would like to see those ships instead of unknown ships nobody has heard of!

Because Dangerous is set over 100 years forward from the original game. You just need to look at modern day cars to work this out - not all the cars that were made 50 years ago are still made today.

There are some exceptions, but there's also a lot of new cars on the market.

Also, due to this time-lapse, FDEV can exercise a certain artistic license on some of the original models. Take the FdL for example - in the original games, it wasn't much more expensive than a Cobra, and appeared smaller that the current version... kind of like how the re-imagined Mini was anything but small!

Some of the ships actually survived through all the Elites and didn't 'vanish' in Frontier/FFE to reappear in ED. Yes some where lost etc but some would still be around at only 50 years after FFE seeing as in those situations people would hold on to their ships etc after being with them through deep space.

Its not like trading in a car these ships can take weeks/months or even years out there.

I'd like to see a very few of the old ships be included, sort of how we sometimes see people driving pre-WW2 cars or several 'classic car' models. They would have to be kept to a minimum and controlled somehow (maybe generated randomly but rarely in Shipyards, or offered as rewards for special missions). As they are so rare upon ship destruction the pilot is placed back in a Sidey immediately as no replacement is available (so their rebuy value is N/A).

Obviously, this would need to be a labour of love on the part of FD to design them and place them in game, over and above their stated intention to provide 30 playable ships. Consider them akin to Easter Eggs in movies.
