I'm not really sure how this happened. A friend and I went to the Krataxo system in a private group, and found it to be different for each of us.

After awhile, he died at a planet A13 RES. After he came back in a new ship, the system matched mine.
In the same system, we also had issues landing at RESes - we'd come out of supercruise and catch a glimpses of other ships on sensors. It would then fly off without us. This happened to both of us, both before and after our death.
