No, it was Kickstarter's UK version ... the times were GMT, the currency was Pound sterling. The forum is GMT. I suppose the backers app *could* be wrong? (Did I need Miss Marple for that?)

I agree, I remember the times as being GMT.
What we don't know, is whether the internal database and the backer data dump provided to Frontier is in GMT or if it's just the UK web pages that changes the time zone.
The Elite: Dangerous Kickstarter page states the funding period as:
Nov 5, 2012 - Jan 4, 2013 (60 days)
. My first pledge was just about November 5 in Eastern Standard time, but Nov 6 in GMT. Blindly the year's fine so quickly!

I can't believe we are almost a year on from the launch of the Kickstarter. This year has flown by and the fact that Alpha access is getting very near is even crazier! I'll raise a glass of something nice on the 5th and 6th just to be on the safe side.

They probably created the Kickstarter campaign on the 5th, but had to wait for approval until the 6th before it became public. That's my guess, anyway.
I became a backer at around 16:00 GMT on the 6th. I had made one of my random visits to the Oolite forums after a long break, where I saw the news.
I maintain that it was my subconscious that sensed a disturbance in the force and made me visit that forum on that very day...

The Frontier boys have been suspiciously quiet today, I wonder if they are making us a cake or something?
Well this time last year while I busy buying up anything related to Peter Jackson's The Hobbit : An Unexpected Journey and was weighing the pros and cons of ordering a official replica of Gandalf's Sword - Glamdring - The Foe-Hammer and well...........I now own that sword, but totally missed the Elite - Dangerous Kick-Starter.

Yes, I think for me it, was the same. A force pushed me to type "Elite IV" in Google. And that's how I taken note of Kickstarter
