KS naming NPC's..... anyone found theirs?

I was reminded recently about the KS reward of "name your own NPC" and I'd be interested to know if anyone has actually found thiers... (or are they even in the game?)

I have no idea how they were implemented, whether they just went into the pot of "random PG names" or if they are specifics based only in one place.

My named NPC should be TALI K'ETO UTRIGAS

Anyone ever encountered this named NPC?

Edit..... OK according to the KS page the above reward doesn't exist, but I'm certain it did. The page link I had that showed the KS backers thier rewards etc has also been broken as far as I can see, the link just goes to the Frontier main page now.

Does anyone have the archived versions?

2 interesting answers - and glad I wasn't imagining it - ok so if you have in the past, have you seen yours within the last 6 months?

Curious also that the backer page no longer lists it as a reward for the tier I bought either.

Anyone official care to comment?

I saw mine twice. In the first 6 months of the game.

Not since. Interesting, I would like to see an official comment on this as if it was removed, I'd be a bit annoyed on reneging on a reward I paid for...

Oh, so pilots names are from KS backers? I thought the game was just taking actual CMDR names and putting them onto random NPC ships (with some stipulations, such as the real CMDR with that actual name not being online currently).

I always thought there must be some random NPC out there named Unknown Zombie when I'm offline.

I've seen mine once and one of the cmdrs i know had his spotted a few days ago!
List is not from cmdr names, you had to provide a name if you backed enougth

I don;'t have one, but I have certainly seen many many many (FAR TOO MANY) really stupid names that you terrible people forced into the game, utterly crushing any hope of me keeping my precious immersion in tact.

When I see these ridiculous "jokes" or whatever... it just breaks everything.

I didn't see mine as such, rather they were the target of a Kill mission - I was quite surprised as the odds must be low if the names picked are true RNG.

I did a very long time ago, never since. It was a stated reward for KS backers.

Have they been removed..? I wish you hadn't put that thought in my head. It would be nice if FD confirmed so I dont go ballistic..

The pot is also seemingly divided into name types or categories, or that seems to be my experience, that that might be a name you'd be more likely to find in empire/independant space? honestly I've seen so many names by now I couldn't ever keep track of them all.

Though I suppose you could make a simple journal scraper to get a list of the names?
