Kuudoo's to the Commander that tried to kill me in DIFU 4 Ring last night!

So as I was having my funzies in the DIFU system last night, roaming the RES zones to catch some tasty, juicy Clippers & Anaconda's... I suddenly notice a DOT on my Radar that's not quite yellow. Infact it's black inside.
HAH! Another player... I watch him for a bit.. he seems uninterested, floating around.

I continue my fights... at some point he attacks my target and we take it down together. A clipper, 50k for it. Nice.
Then another player appears in the same area... This player somehow attacks me and turns red. Obviously I'm an unforgiving Bountyhunter who'd sell his mother if it would benefit him. So as soon as this happens I turn on the guy.
The Viper swings away at top speed and although I managed to take it down to 60% hull it manages to jump into Hyperspace, leaving my Vulture behind several KM outside of the RES zone.

I realize Vultures are not for chasing
As I swing around to head back I see the player that I was tracking earlier is still there. In fact he's come and chased me out of the RES zone.
As I swing around and he speeds upwards, I boost coming straight at him. For funzies I pass him so close that our Shields litterally crackle together... but neither of us became red or wanted

I continue scouring for wanted NPC's. Then suddenly mid fight I realise that this other Cmdr is literally right on top of me on my Radar... As I see it I suddenly bounce into him.
Again however neither of us turns red or wanted... I brush it off as a coincidence... but as I continue my hunt I realise he's staying very, very close to me all the time now.

As I engage again with another clipper and start circling it I suddenly bounce into something again, but this time HARD.

Instantly everything on my Radar seems to turn Red. My shield starts getting hammered and I realize Instantly that somehow this Cmdr has been waiting to pounce, consciously making sure I'd ram into him to make me WANTED.
As I battle with my appreciation for his patience and tactice... sweat breaks out as I realise my shields will collapse too fast for my Shieldbank to safe me. Thank good I bought that Hull Package.

4 Pips into Engine.. Assist off and bull booster the hell out of the RES. My shields break.. he's chasing me in a Viper, so I can't outrun him... there's 5 Fed's with him... I spam some Chaff... Goddamn... the damn Mass Lock won't turn off.... it seems ages.. finally the light goes from Blue to Neutral. I slam the Supercruise button on my throttle and I count the seconds... Hull at 66% I'm pretty sure I'll make it unless something weird happens, but still I'm tense...

0:00:00 BAM... SuperCruise.... Pheww... I made it... I just wish I'd remembered that Cmdr's Name.. cause I owe him one... and I love repaying my debts...

Cool story. I wishing could find some pvp... And ye ur right vultures are certainly not fast. Making them bad for pvp imo.

Was wondering about this.
In the fray of things I don't know exactly what happened, but I rammed into NPC's and became wanted before so I surmised that should be what happened.
Perhaps I'll experiment with it a bit.

Anyway. These kind of encounters are just what makes this game awesome and I wanted to share that.
Actually. I later thought that perhaps I should have just boosted out, turned Assist off, turn my nose around and shoot him as I was drifting away, spamming Chaff.

There are folks out there who will try to get you to hit them with weps while you're shooting at an npc. Sounds like that's what happened perhaps? Either that or he was just trying to bump your aim so you hit another friendly, allowing him to attack without consequence (and with the npcs on his side). Bit of a cheap tactic either way.
