Absolutely. The true issue is whether you allow any Johnny-come-lately with a few quid to have a voice in such a decision, or whether you keep it in the hands of proven, committed stakeholders. The same would apply to any organisation controlled by its members.
Completely agree. Sadly, since that is the system, we can either work with it or let the minority win.
Personally I take the position that being electable, by current standards, isn't relevant or democratic.
It's about policies. Ultimately, how these are presented.
The current tendency for Labour to run around, chasing whatever issue they think will get them elected has led to them being little different from the Torys.
