Lack of Animals in Franchise Mode

Hey all, bought the game a few weeks ago. I like Career Mode so far, despite not being able to alter terrain.

When I switched to Franchise Mode, I have a problem. No matter what biome or where I make my zoo, there are only 2 types of animals in animal trading-aardvarks and Buffalos. No matter how often I refresh, that's all there is. Most I can't get because they require a couple thousand CCs.

Am I doing something wrong somehow?

That's weird. You should be able to adopt all Animals. Do you use the Filters?

if you are still having issues, can you post a screenshot of your tradecentre? will make it easier to see if there is a problem with the filters

I think I have it sorted out. I just have to filter for each animal.
