Lack of destination systems listed in navigation panel?

I was pottering about down underneath the galaxy (-Z axis) and I was perturbed to notice that in my navigation panel I would often see only one (or maybe two or three) systems listed. However, checking the galaxy map there were loads of direct jumps available. Any thoughts on why not even the system I had jumped in from was listed (yes I had fuel enough)? [weird]

It's okay, I only just noticed this in the past few days too on the last leg of the DWE to Beagle Point. I'd honestly never noticed it before either.
