Isn't it a glaring oversight that you literally can't figure out how to get Guardian modules without looking at the Wiki and Youtube tutorials? That there is no mention in the Codex about how guardian data terminals give different types of blueprints, yet both terminal sites reported in the Codex give Module fragments, and there is no way to find out about Weapon and Vessel fragments? That there is no way to find out what type of blueprint you'll get from a site without prior knowledge? Also that finding Guardian tech brokers, or tech brokers and material traders of any kind without using 3rd party websites, is a time consuming, unfun, exercise in futility?
Introducing the Codex was definitely a step in the right direction. I'm sure Frontier will keep trying to help new players and players who don't want to have to tab out and use another website. I hope they change the Services tab in the galaxy map so you can see black markets, tech brokers, and material traders without having to have visited the system first - or at least show us one or two of each kind so at least you have somewhere to go, but leave the rest of them for experienced players to discover and use at their convenience.
I get that word of mouth and online discussion should always be a part of the game, but Frontier shouldn't rely on it as the sole way to explain their game mechanics. I know part of the appeal of the guardian stuff is that it's mysterious, and players had to figure it out and talk to each other, but does that matter when all anyone does is tab out and go to Inara?
Thanks for reading have a wonderful day cmdrs o7
