This isn't a joke response, don't hate, but your best fix is to revert your drivers for that AMD video card, they are the problem, known and acknowledged by both FD and AMD, but AMD has yet to fix the issue, even the new Crimson drivers don't fix it.

There's another post around here...here we go..

You'll find all the information you need in that thread, first page, Genar-Hofoen post #11.

it has nothing to do with your Graphics Driver

It's down to Server loading... nothing you can do

You are referring to the hyperspace translation times, which is a very different thing from what kaplishkap011 is describing, which is the supercruise lag which affects AMD video card users.

For the hyperspace translation time issue, switch mode, whatever you are in, pick another mode, and it will clear up, then you can switch back to your preferred mode and it should stay cleared up. This isn't a new thing, it's been around for a bit and that's the fix for it.

kaplishkap011, you are welcome, but the real thanks goes to Genar-Hofoen and the others on that thread I linked who've spent so much time tracking down the issue and the fix and posting that fix.

Nvidia graphics card are better behaved but still have this problem. It's particularly nasty with an Oculus Rift since it requires a very steady frame rate. The older AMD graphics driver isn't a perfect fix. I applied it, worked for a while, then reappeared with a vengeance.

I have access to some fairly high end equipped so I experimented with this a bit. Great hardware can hide this problem but on any OS, any video card, you still get a huge frame loss in inhabited space.

Here's some light reading to pass the time since this bug renders the game unplayable:

Here's the only voice who looked around a bit before putting forth his own crazy theory. Why not just reinstall Windows too? LOL

It's an issue with the servers for several months now. They bork; everyone screams; they straighten it out.

It is a US holiday, Black Friday and all the pre-Christmas online shopping frenzy. Try loading a page from NewEgg today - Bog City.

The real problem here is that you are linkng some so called FPS drop off (in your link) with what you presume the OP is describing.

Remember that what you call "Supercruise" and "normal space" may not be the same as the OP

If you can point me to the reference that links lag ( delay time in sending and recieving a data package) and how a GRAPHICS DRIVER effects that I will gladly bow to your superior knowledge....

Perhaps you may want to explain that to kaplishkap011 at the same time

BTW.... I'm running a R9 290 here with the new Crimson Drivers and have no display problems at all.... BUT I... like the majority of players AM suffering lag (data loss) whilst FD play with the severs hosted by AWS

have a wonderful (laggy) weekend

Rap :D
