Yes, this has been an issue since the latest update. Especially on the square maps. The more you put in sandbox, the more it lags. To the point the animations freeze. It's like the game paused, but it has not.

Turn off all options in the new cinema mode. That's what helped in my case.

I've not personally encountered severe lag yet aside from initially loading a saved map after Update 6 cause all of the feeders have to reload since they're infinite now. However, I've come across a bunch of workarounds in these forums that might work while we wait for this issue to hopefully be patched up. As Bob B said above, turning off all options in cinematic mode should work. Placeable foliage and goat feeders might also be causing the issue so try deleting or deactivating them. Supposedly, the lag is mostly an issue with existing save files.

Hey Giuse!

The team is looking into these lag issues. In the meantime, disabling all camera angles in the cinematic Capture Mode camera has supposedly been doing the trick for a lot of players, so it's worth checking and seeing if it works for you.

When you're in Sandbox Mode, open up the Options menu, go to Capture Mode, select the cinematic camera option, and then set everything to "none".
