I have not played elite in a while. I decided to go out exploring and I came across this lagrange cloud with biological micro organisms in it. What do these things do? and should I shoot at them? lol

Scan them, some react to lights from your ship, heat. Experiment and find out.

Someone claimed he found them "breeding" but I suspect this is have been an alcohol fuelled dream, instead of reality...!

There are lots of these things in the codex, organisms and weird firework-crystal things too. Pretty cool, although sadly they don't do much :(

There's no harm in shooting at them :) Some of the clouds have "anomalies" (light blob thingys) that can get nasty - heat you up really fast, strip your shields, and do other unsavory things. SO those can get a little exciting. I think the biological ones are mostly nice?

Yeah I scanned them and everything. But I dont have weapons, so I was considering going back to the bubble to grab some. Its only around 3000 ly.

I think Lagrange clouds were one if the coolest additions from Beyond. A very cool environment to navigate, especially in VR.

It’s a shame they’re so rare. Are there even any in the Bubble at all?
