I'm pretty sure he's on solid ground, there. A T7 with decent thrusters and a halfway competent pilot is more than capable of escape against the majority of human attackers. If you're having difficulties, you need to re-asses your fitout or technique. Plot a route one jump longer than you need/always have the next system locked in, and be ready to bug out. Only the very best will have any chance of nailing you, if you do it properly. There will always be a few players better than you, of course, but the overpopulated median should cause no fears.
