They are (relatively) cheap, versatile and sturdy ships; that's why I buy Lakon.
Also I agree with the posts that talk about the bridge canopies and fields of view being exceptional.
They may be ED:H's ugly ducklings but they get the job done.

I went back to my Cobra IV first!
Just can't keep away form this boat....it's a pig of a thing but I love it for some daft reason.
I still love the lakons I just can't get one to beat my Cobra IV for similar cash!
Well I have my ASP-E (B Rated) and a Keelback (A rated) and I'm firmly in love with the Lakons! I haven't even felt the need to fly anything other than these two.
I do feel kinda dirty flying the ASP-E as it is so popular etc but then I jump in my KB and go shoot stuff with the fighter
