We do not know it's purpose, it's stats, it's size... We can't tell how much it will supposedly cost since we don't know anything about it !

Certainly not.

More like a multipurpose or a mining ship (with a lot of internal compartments, not very huge).

Someone wrote a while back, can't remember who (probably a few ppl) that with a name like Diamondback it would be combat oriented........

It looks like a missile boat to me.

Probably a multi-purpose, leaning more torwards a combat ship.

I really have no idea, what a "mining ship" could be. What would set a mining ship apart from multi purpose ships or freighters? Lots of internal compartements as you mentioned would just make it another one of the latter.

A mining ships doesn't need anything special... just a few hardpoints for mining lasers and internal compartments for refineries and drones, so any mp-ship/freighter makes a good mining ship.

I am genuinely hoping it's not an any type of weapon boat, All the ships need to be flexible, outside of the roles I really hope anyway

Stop the grind and go do something else for a bit, then do a bit of grind...mix it up that is half the fun.

I'd guess something vulture++ sized from the size of the cockpit versus the rest of the craft so agree with others that it is probably a multi-role ship.

Well, after thinking about it a bit more I am guessing a 20 mil multipurpose ship. Looks like a Lakon, named after a snake so cross out Core Dynamics. Looks to be bigger than the Asp and since we don't have a non-faction multipurpose in the 20 mil range I think the DiamondBack will be it. So Sidewinder->Cobra->Asp->DiamondBack->Python->Anaconda as opposed to Eagle->Viper->Vulture->?->FDL->?

low to medium FSD; mid range shield; 4 medium Hard points and several cargo slots. making it a multi role ship between Cobra and Clipper in cost say 10-14M +parts
