General / Off-Topic Land Yachts/vessels and motorhomes

Alot of folks are drawn to space games because of the idea of exploration.
It used to be the same with sea farers.

On land I'm equally drawn to big exploring motorhomes where you can travel to wildernesses and camp in comfort.

Like big collossal space cruisers only confined to terra firma.

This are some pictures of some great examples.
Please feel free to add some pictures/links

The Monaco Dynasty is made by the same company I work for

And one of my favourite is my own bus conversion- purely because I like old buses and I own it. Bus are alot tougher and far more durable than conventional motorhomes.

Am I the only person here that immediately thought of the Eagle 5?

Spaceballs-eagle5.jpg

I love the Eagle 5 from Space Balls. In fact when I took the plunge to buy my bus, I thought of the Eagle 5.
I will almost certainly be playing Elite Dangerous aboard my bus on my Asus G55s. It has a cozy ship-like atmosphere inside- especially at night. I have it parked in my 'yard' and retreat into it like my man cave.

My wife no longer questions where I have gone:D

That is an awesome looking piece of kit!

It could fit in my back garden but it would need a crane to get it there. Would love something like that but realistically the size of it makes it impractical for most of the residential roads over here.

Excellent man cave though :D

Hey Rafe- that's a great idea however at the moment, It just sits in my garden.
I've also just been offered a job in another state and my wife wants to stay here for a little while longer until she get a transfer. Rather than waste rent money on two places in two areas I was thinking of living in it over there over the summer in RV parks until she moves and we actually buy a new place.
But the renting idea isn't a bad one at all longer term!

Very nice coach conversion. You can see the external view of this chaps coach when you look through his videos.
Very inspiring!
Runs on vegitable oil apparently. The engine in mine (8v71) is even more robust than his (I know one of the engineers who was involved in its development and its replacement the 6v92)
