I haven't seen a whole lot of those. are those rare? Either way, it makes for a very nice view.

They are there not in abundance, but I wouldn't call them rare.
Some are quite big :

Some hefty rings round this iceball. Planet itself pretty big and landable, having some 20,695km radius.

You might be interested in my app - Cougar Display - which calls out and logs into a database for further analysis features of interest as you fly around the Galaxy.
