Landable SLFs

So i use a corvette for exploring. I have 4 SRVs. Some of the plants i scan are very far apart. I wish there was a way to launch an SLF, dismiss your ship (we are not just holograms anymore) land the SLF, get out, scan plant, go to next location. Repeat. This would make traversing planets much faster and easier. For balance the SLF would have no weapons and no cargo as to not make SRVs obsolete. This would make finding that last plant much easier as you have a bird's eye view.

Just treat them as a regular ship without a FSD. Or even let them be low wake capable with extremely limited fuel.

Actually, better yet, let us have a single sidewinder in a size 7 hanger.
The reason i would like landable SLFs for exobiology is because their very compact design and speed make it ver Easy to find plants that are sparse. I was looking in an SRV for an hour once for the last sample. Slfs would give me much better view and i could traverse much bigger distances.

All the human design SLF's already have landing gear. Sure you can't do the same things as an SRV, but that's really kinda the point, right?

If all they did was make them capable of landing, your SLF pilot could just follow behind you and hover over you in the main ship when you land to hop out and sample. Just need to make sure your mother ship is fast enough to keep up. Krait Mk2 could maintain 400+ m/s and keep a jump range in the low to mid 40s Ly range if properly outfit and engineered for exploration.

The SLF should have ability to both land and dock. Then we could park the large ship at a parking area and use the SLF to land at the outposts. When it comes to exobiology there is another solution, hovering. Let the ship hover while you disembark. The hovering would also be a cool way to deploy your team at a settlement, fast in - fast out.
