Google translate says thats... German..

Since yesterday my landing computer no longer works, bought a new ship Asp Explorer and installed everything, but the landing computer no longer responds to the commands? Tip?
if yout not able to use google translate to convert to English to post you may be better off in the german forum...

(Hopefully the O.P. can translate this with Google Translate - indeed it's generally very good, I use it while talking to my girlfriend's mother all the time, when she doesn't understand certain things I say...)

I can think of a few reasons that it might not work, it may simply be inactive, if so there's a simple toggle function in the modules menu, where it's easy to turn things off and on (or often accidentally turn things off without realising)...

Perhaps there isn't enough power available to run it, if not changing the devices priority in the modules menu might help get around an overstretched powerplant (as always can engineering desired modules)...

If the o.p.'s ship was recently damaged in combat, by heat or impact, maybe the docking computer needs repairing - it's possible to repair any damaged modules of course at a station, but also "out in the field", by doing a reboot/repair, where the ship tries to repair broken modules itself by taking a few percentages of health off working modules...

While this generally only takes a few seconds, care must be taken when doing a reboot, as it shuts down ALL of the ships' systems while doing so.

So say for example if you did a reboot over a planet, you might drop suddenly and hit the ground, likely being destroyed in the process or near hostile enemies, would see your ship shieldless and defenceless until the reboot is completely...

(Also changing modules' priority if the powerplant is overstretched, can be dangerous too, as it might shut down something like the thrusters or life support if they have the same priority as the docking computer etc, until they're turned back on, so similar care to when doing a reboot is advised 😀🤘 .)

The docking computer only works 7.5 km away from a station or base, so might only appear broken if you jumped from say a Cobra to the Asp, but are simply just further away from the station than you realise.

Lastly are you sure that the target station is one you can actually or have the permission to land at, many ground bases are only there for "flavour" and can't actually be docked at - anyway, hope this helps 🤔😀🤘 .

Edit - Actually something I alluded to already I was just thinking about more...

The Asp is as said a medium ship, vs a Cobra etc being a small ship...

Outposts and smaller bases have four small landing pads, but only one medium pad - if the intended station is busy, it won't let you dock until the medium pad is clear 🤔😀🤘 .
