Horizons landing at Outposts and Space Stations

quick question , is it just me that lands on these like I was flying a 747, occasionally i point the nose down to the bay but not often?

I fly like I am flying an Osprey: glide in until I am over the pad then vertical land. Other times, I go nose first until I am nearly touching the base and then flare out to a vertical landing. to each his own technique.

It depends on my approach.

I do like the DC approach: Put my self about 1.5Km above the spot and dive straight down.

I played FSX a lot and still do, so for me, I've always flown my ships into the pad like an airplane. Even when I had finally gotten a Python years ago and would do slave trades, I would have to zoom into stations as fast as possible not to be scanned and then I'd land them just like a plane as well. Just second nature I guess for me...

Come in like an airplane except for pads very near the mail slot. Then it's a dive straight down with a flair.

I get to about 100-200 metres above the landing pad, point the nose of the ship at it, switch the shields off and hit full throttle and boosters until I make contact with the landing pad.
Works like a charm everytime with no exceptions and takes me straight to the 'landed status' screen where I can choose either my ship or sidewinder. It's annoying that I have to pay everytime, think devs should change that but it's not game-breaking really. Try it, fool-proof technique really.

I almost got caught replying to this

Hilarious. +1 Rep

I sort of have a bad habit of landing like and airplane, too. :D
I guess it's just a habit, trusting what you see more than the instruments...
