Newcomer / Intro landing gear

hi
just got elite dangerous loaded all ok.
i have pc keyboad and joystick but unable to get landing gear up or down
anybody know how to do this

In the settings, controls, there's a key binding for landing gear toggle. Check it's been assigned, and if it has a cryptic JOY3 type descriptor try pressing joystick buttons until you discover what it is.

Most likely it's not bound.

If you've set your control scheme to "Generic Joystick", then by default landing gear is the Insert key.

Open the right side panel in your ship and under FUNCTIONS tab you have landing gear toggle option.
