Landing on The Moon (not)

Has anybody seen an explanation from Frontier, why, of all the airless moons, our own Moon is not landable and nothing on it. Frontier has gone to a lot of trouble to put the star positions, distances, brightnesses, stellar types and exo-planets (if any) in the LEite Galaxy, but the Moon is empty. It's a major inconsistency? Why? Besides, there is a high-resolution digital elevation map for the Moon, and travelling around it in scarabs, could have some pratical value in the real world, in the not so distant future, surely. Is Frontier every going to say anything about this?

Once again for those at the back, the moon (according to the existing Elite timeline) is densely populated. And why wouldn't it be? Why would humanity have spread across the galaxy and not settled on the moon?

It's just that it's like Willy Wonka's Chocolate Factory.

Nobody ever goes in.

And nobody ever comes out.
