Landing pad marking is sometimes disappearing

Before I thought it was my fault for not finding it... cause I usually come in with full speed and engine burst applied (to avoid scanning ... not necessary but it is kinda training) ... not bumping into things has the highest priority then...

But this time I have seen it.. I was flying into the station ... reasonable speed this time ... I saw my pad at the end of the station (my favorite spots ... it also was aligned with the hole ...perfect)
I flew towards it in middle of the station ... then it disappeared .... well I tried to land anyway (remembered perfectly which spot it was)
But since I wasn't going too fast I just saw it a split second as it reappeared ...

So I can't tell if I could land or not even if the marking is not there.

And no! I wasn't loitering ... I didn't block any access or was too close to any landing spot other than mine.

Anyway that is annoying ... I often fly into station and searching my spot for minutes ... spinning around (would say like crazy ... but that is not going to happen in ED)

or I fly in to my spot and thinking I am missing it cause I don't see my number appearing (vision is kinda limited ... to the bottom wih all ships and the Adder i am currently flying espcially)... and turn in all sorts of directions ... and fly left and right and flying backwards, too...

Yep, it happens. Your compass still points you to the right pad though. If the landing graphic appears when you are over it, you're still good to land. If it doesn't then you need to exit the station, cancel your docking request and then ask for clearance again.

What gets me is, the pads that are right under the entrance. God I hate those and it makes it even worse when they disappear.

You have to spot it early and keep your eyes on it just in case.

They used to swap completely at random, that was fun..

I am not sure if I understand what you mean by radar... image would help...
because I never seen anything about landing on my radar...

There is if it switches to the landing indicator, though ... but then you are already too close of its a wrong dock spot...
