Landing Pads(Maximum Weights, Ships)?

Is there somewhere that shows what ships can use what Landing Pads?

I'm currently in a Type 7, but I think that can't go to the smaller platforms right? I honestly haven't tried because I was told they can't.

But I saw someone flying an Imperial Clipper I think it was, and they were able to land at a smaller station. Type 7 and Clipper are pretty similar in size and cargo capacity. Just wondering if the Type 7 is worth it over a Clipper. Don't have the rep for one yet anyways, but seems like I could be making similar cash with less traveling in one :p

There are three sizes of docking pads. Dock at a large station (Coriolis, Orbis or Ocellus) and count the blast shields on your pad. 1=small 2=medium 3=large. If a big station puts you on a large, forget ever docking at outposts, they never have large pads. If you fit on a medium you can still dock at most outposts as the vast majority of them have at least one pad that size.

And yes, the type 7 takes a large pad so cannot dock at outposts.

Clipper cant land at outposts. Is the type-7 worth it over a clipper? Yes and no, you can carry more cargo in a an agile faster ship, and it feels great to fly, but the clipper has very high running costs. It's like hauling stuff in a 2015 Porsche Cayenne, in the back of your mind you know you should be doing it in a Landrover.

Here's a small example of costs.

My Clipper 86% damage 60000c
My Type-7 70% damage 4000c

Everytime I accidentally take heat damage while scooping in my clipper, I start thinking about the repair bill..
