Large ship docking practice

I played regular and built up to the fattest possible ship at the time then got disinterested. Trying to get back in to the game apparently I've become an idiot and can't get through the door on a Coriolis reliably. Costing several million or more a time depending on cargo etc needless to say it's become a stress I neither need nor relish and I've given up trying to get back in to the game several times already. Suggested to Tech Supprt allowing us to choose which ship to use in the docking practice tutorial (and also launching & getting out the door; that's actually where I'm dying most) and they redirected me here so here it is. Really can't believe it would be that hard to allow choosing the ship in the tutorial instead of just defaulting to the starter it does?

Go on; flame me and tell me to learn how to fly again. FWIW I've no problem small or large out in the open... I'm trying to be constructive. Merry Christmas to you too :)

What are you flying that you are having problems with?

Anaconda? Aim towards the top, if you aren't ducking when you go through, you are to low lol.

Beluga? A little lower than center, if you are going a less than 80m/s, roll with the station a bit or you will get your fins caught in the toaster rack.

Cutter? Pretty much center, just watch how far over you are, your nacelle's can clip the edges.

T-9/10? Little lower than center seems good for me.

I don't fly though the slot with my landing gear down.

And make sure you are clear of the slot before you start trying to maneuver, some ships (cutter, beluga) have some long rear ends, and it's easy to think you've cleared when you haven't.

A docking computer will show you how to go through on landing, and you can try and mimic that.

I think a "large ship" tutorial is a good idea though.

A large ship docking scenario would be nice. Wouldn't take that much effort to put in either. Just duplicate the docking scenario and replace the sidewinder with a big 3/T9/Luga/T10 :D
