Large ship mission notice

Just picked up a delivery mission. Arrived at the destination to discover the station that requires the supplies is an outpost. I fly a clipper. So, in lieu of the game helpfully stipulating in the mission description that a small/medium ship is required, verify the station if you fly a large ship before accepting... :/

Have ever seen the point of doing hauling missions in large ships, you can make way more cash working for yourself hauling. If I need to increase rank I jump in a Cobra.

Kind of missed the point of my post, but ok. I'm in no rush for credits at this point.

No I get your point, if I pick up a mission I look at the galaxy map and check the station I am delivering to. Have always done that, your issue is nothing new, until they add the ability to tell you in advance, use the system map. It takes a whopping great 10 seconds. Or stick to my original advice, keep a medium sized ship for hauling missions.

Same deal when someone posts a lucrative trade run on the forum, I check the map before buying 500T of gold and launching in my Large pad ship.

missions are not just about credits. they're about rep & faction influence.

once you're allied, you can get very high paying jobs too...like £150k just for transporting some gold one jump (that you dont even have to buy)

This is the exactly correctiest answer!

Yes, missions for this type need to be tweaked a little bit. This has been known and discussed since Beta. FD is aware. For now, do as 777Driver says and check the starmap, until they change the mechanics involved with pad size and missions.

Yep, I know hence why I have other ships for outpost runs. Have never been asked to haul 240T of goods in a mission, medium freighters do the job fine

It would be best if they checked your ship and then put those missions to outposts in the unavailable section, with the 'deliver to' part in red.
