Large ships small outposts

Hello.

I guess you all know the problem. I got a big ship to haul a lot of cargo but you cant deliver to some ports or even refuel there.

How about a method to get a least the basic maintenance. Like a fuel station you can dock your ship to outside the station and the same to deliver goods.

There could be some kind of docking hatch where you can dock outside the station.

For example like in Star Trek DS9 where the ships are not really in the station but dock on the outer ring.

AFAIK the issue with large ships and outposts is by design, not oversight.

It's been brought up several times before and FDev seem pretty adamant about the current dynamic, so I wouldn't hold your breath. I also do cargo runs in a large ship, you get used to ignoring outposts and finding alternates.
