Large SRV bays: orbital insertion! Remote pickup!

So lack of multicrew SRVs is stupid, I'm sure that's been beaten to death already. Just let people lose the things, and assemble new ones, and we're fine. So what ifa few SRVs go boom, they're cheap.

Anyway, large SRV bays are completely pointless, except for spares. How about if they could be used in orbital insertions? Fly inside of orbital-cruise range, come out of cruise and stop, and deploy SRV.

Then, the SRV gets inserted with *waves hands* technology or something, and the ship gets dismissed. Perhaps the jets are just temporarily overcharged or something, for a single entry. Sounds good enough to me.

(Also, in multicrew, the crew should just have to eject first, so the ship can dismiss.)

:p

Do you have any idea how long it would take to fall from several 100 km up in 0.1G? :p

I do like the idea of flying in much lower and dropping the SRV though. Slowly of course, or that would be a short trip. Lol
