Largest wing npc I have ever seen....

I was traveling in Timocani and stopped at a sss and found a 7 ship npc wing... It was one Anaconda and a mishmash of eagles vipers and vultures. Feel free to post if you have seen wings like these or bigger.

8 is the largest ive seen. It was one of those gold canister strong signal source fights. 6 vultures 2 cobras. Very profitable fight!

8 here. All in sidewinders. Followed me into a RES, the little gits. Wouldn't have minded but I was arguing with a Fed dropship at the time. :)

8 master to deadly Vultures in a gold trap, 'escaped with 80% hull and calling on any pilot who claims they can solo that lot, even a tanked condas shields fall before SCBs can save them.

8 deadly Sideys...that was a good fight, the 8 deadly vultures was a brave sir robin or die.

Your Sidewinder group trumps my Sidewinder/Eagle one I think. Mine were a mixture of Competent and Expert if I remember correctly.

Right on, Commander!

wait till you get one of those combat elite missions for stolen Sap 8 Core Canisters..... One type 9 escorted by 2 condas and 4 other assorted crafts...and you have to get the cargo, sometimes they are all mil-spec so they are all running like 4 point defense and an ECM....needless to say i only did the mission once

Well, you pre pot them (wow term) but first you take out one before they all start to fire. Once you do that they usually attack in a slightly staggered order. Also vulture NPC AI is terrible vs Anacondas. Half the time once you open fire they stop firing and just try and move around for some reason. So between swapping modules, you target one or two and they go into derp mode circling you and stopping some DPS. It is not impossible by a long shot. I also run 4 chaff for NPC hunting the whole encounter you can have a chaff up as well, this is more important than using a few extra shield boosters.

Also are you only running 1 SCB at a time? If you are for that encounter you are doing it wrong. Run either two or three. Preset your system priorities to shut off non combat essential stuff when you turn on another SCB. Stuff like life support, cargo bay, frameshift drives, and so on to get that extra bit you need.

IDK about Vulture vs Conda AI But against Pythons they all start firing and there is no aid in chaff, Permaboost, crazy slip turning rolls, or spamming cells, 16 large weapons vs large slow target = Dead Python.... I can't see the bigger slowerCondas doing any better TBH unless you are right on there being some buggy AI giving the conda an easy time.

I liked the gold trap in my Clipper days, you could perhaps scoop 1 or 2 tons before permaboosting away, like a game of chicken, but for anyone slower.....I'd need to see the vid to believe it. It's almost possible in the Courier, but by the 2nd Vulture kite in FAOff you've lost contact of the other Vultures and the gold.

The goldtrap wing of 8 vultures are a nightmare. I will quite happily tank it out vs 3 anacondas or any other goldtrap combination but 8 vultures are impossible alone (unless the AI goes into a bugged state). It's the only one I won't even bother attempting to engage and just make a run for it. Even running the moment they spawn will smack the living hell out of your shields. Caught this just as I made it into hyperspace. Note shields had 4 pips for the opening moments of this engagement until I wanted to double boost to jump.
