Two or three of them can get your heat down to 0% if fired long enough, without too much missing. More of less the same effect as a heatsink. I don't use SCBs but presume timing it right might be difficult.
Burst almost all the way for the most damage per energy. Some other lasers if there are some engineering effects I want to add (wing healing or thermal vent come to mind).
A heat sink can barely hold a size 7 SCB. Not sure if thermal vent is as good and as fast as a heatsink
