Last Chance to do Robigo?

So the other day i decided to do the Robigo Run and earn me some good ol Cr. While doing so ive been following some of the Horizons and Engineers Updates and such. One being the new mission system. I was wondering if Robigo will be different at all? will the new mission system affect the well profitable shadow missions?

If so it would be the last chance to earn some sweet money for all the ships that will most likely go flying into the surface of a beautiful moon.[knocked out]

Hope so! Robigo gave us tons of mostly harmless corvettes, cutters and anacondas..

From what I understand, 2.1 kills Robigo, and not in a caring euthanization kind of way. More like a, you came home drunk at 2 in the morning, and found out the next morning that you hit your dog with your truck while drunk, and you only have a baseball bat to put it out of its misery with in your semi-drunken hangover stupor the next morning... And you miss a few times... Or, atleast, that's what the people are telling me.

good job i opened a galactic ISA and filled it up then.

ps... i dont have a cutter / anaconda / corvette and i'm a master in combat despite it not being my main occupation, but i have certainly used Robigo, although most of my credits come from Exploration.

selfishly it wont effect me as i don't need more credits but it may put newcomers off from the game if they don't have the same "opportunity" as others.

I.e everyone else flying round in corvettes and a billion credit bank account yet new players need to work 3 times as hard to get one.... how annoyed would you be as a first time player... or maybe you're all willing to wipe your saves and start again.

we could all equally moan about trading slaves and people logging on NPC's in solo, but we choose to moan about Robigo,

Closing Robigo's doors wont change the attitude of loggers they will just use a different door to get corvettes and cutters until 2.2, and because credits take longer to "earn" i think existing corvette / cutter loggers will be more inclined to log as they struggle to afford it, after all their motivation at the minute appears to be lack of funds.

but alas i don't actively engage in PvP so iv never faced the logging problem, im just an outsider looking in, hopefully i'm wrong.

I would gladly reset my game, if it didn't reset naval ranks... I accidently made it to Ensign during the easy rank days, but I've been actively farming for Imp rank, and have only gone up like 2 ranks in over a week of non-stop grinding all day every day. I actually let out an audible "NOOOOOoooOoOOOoOOoooO!" When I reached Lord tonight, because I thought I was about to finally reach Baron... Nope, there's a whole 'nother rank between me and the Clipper, let alone the Cutter...

Not to sound snide, but people got by just fine without robigo. They'll survive afterwards as well.

It's fine, i couldn't care less if Robigo closes. but yeah people will be getting killed by harmless corvettes with a longer "grind" (if you want to call it that) to be able to fight back

Well that's what the power button is for. Do it before you die and you never have to pay a dime! :D

Exactly ^^ this is what i foresee, less money = more inclined to hover near that power button, so when people do fight back...Darned internet these days...

i used to play a game called C&C red alert, back when dial up was a thing and the internet had a noise, you would be surprised how many people had internet connection issues when your tanks piled up towards their base and the inevitable was coming, back then all they had to lose was pride, of course that was the only reason they lost, internet, undefeated otherwise.

but these people still exist, the game platform / format / nerfs / buffs, do what you want they will always exist.

They will exist but they'll probably not be as inclined to do so if they got punished.

I still play Red Alert online today... Albiet, it's through OpenRA, and CnC net, or Mental Omega, but I do still play it from time to time.
