Last Chance to do Robigo?

Never done robigo, never been bothered.

although i do miss games like C&C, we need a new one.
Just not another C&C 4... God that was painful... Hey, ever play Dawn of War? Dawn of War III was announced, and I guess it's going back to the way Dawn of War 1 did things!

I did Robigo ONCE.

Actually, I don't even think it was Robigo. Maybe it was Fehu.

Either way, long range smuggling runs just aren't fun for me. Good payout, sure, but I hate interdiction even though I usually just run away. It's just boring. There's no rush of adrenaline when you get interdicted by a cop; just annoyance. I hope they overhaul the missions, if anything, to give more variance over there than just Shadow Deliveries.

Never done Robigo, I have gotten by just fine I have enough for a cutter (not fully a rated, if I sell my Conda I would be pretty close, not going to happen though) I have However done Fehu and 17 Draconis for ranks though. Just need those pesky ranks :(

i only did it because the constant grind can get to me. I needed a new FSD for the Crab nebula expedition fast and that sure did it. Robigo seems sorta cheaty and i dont mind but im excited to see new missions and such that will make the grind less repetitive

Not to sound snide, but people got by just fine without robigo. They'll survive afterwards as well.
Smuggling was actually working back then in the bubble too....just saying. I both love & hate Robigo, I love how it feel's like pre-nerf smuggling yet I hate how they had to nerf the whole galaxy to make it not feel like an exploit in the Robigo like system's.

I really don't know what the fuss is all about this Robigo. Sure, I've done some runs, but I personally don't find it a whole lot more rewarding than trading legal goods. Most good runs will earn you on average 8 million per hour, and Robigo takes a lot of time if you count the time for getting there, stacking missions, then going to all the different systems to deliver and deal with the interdictions. Best est run I've done netted me 40 million but it took me 4 hours in real time. So 10 million an hour, and a little less boring than trading.
I adjust my activities judging on the time I have to play as I cannot permit myself to sit on the xbox all day long.

Combat logging is another issue. Robigo is not the problem, and as so many of you have said, cheats will always find another way to cheat.

Fair enough. On the flip side, bounty hunting has come a long way in my experience.

My favorite ship is the FGS, I smuggle in it even(great at avoiding interdiction with 100t cargo). Oddly enough I really don't like combat except maybe 10-15 min. every month between smuggling binges. So I do see that, but combat is not fun to me as a "career" path unfortunatly.

Someone called the punisher of Robigo? I'll glady eradicate Robigo for a "just cause" situation.

Seems fitting eh?

They shouldn't kill Robigo per se, but what I hope will happen with 2.1 (well 1.6) is that missions will become a viable way of ... well, anything. Coz right now except for the fact that they're pretty much the only way to rank up (imp/fed), they're a waste of time and effort.

If you can earn decent amount of money doing "standard" missions, then Robigo and co will mechanically become way less attractive.

And actually, all in all money making should be a bit more streamlined. Coz right now some activities are way more viable than other, like it's not even funny. I'm looking at you exploration ...

I dunno, a trip to Sag A and back can net you 40 million apparently. I saw in some gameplay, think it was Vindicator Jones? That showed new higher cash rewards for missions, like assassination missions of an upwards of 5 million.

You gotta scan quite a lot on your way there. Also those missions for assassinations sound very rewarding. i would finally consider doing them for once

How exactly are Robigo missions being nerfed? They don't appear at all or they only offer legal stuff or what?

Really all they need to do is rehash the stock requirements so that you can't run 1T/2.5MM missions. But go with more quantities, so that the credits per hour is on par with other activities.

I got there and got back. Netted about 15 millions give or take. Granted I didn't scan a lot and was a bit on a rush for a good part of the trip. But we're still talking between 20 to 30 hours for 15 millions (including the ~600k netted by Sag A deep scan IIRC). Not totally nothing but still, RES farming can easily net you that kind of money using a Viper. And you can earn way more (well, way faster) than that when using a Vulture (which costs about the same as the Asp I used for visiting the center of the galaxy).

Not that I'm complaining or anything, it just feels weird that there are so many ways to earn decent amounts of money when trading and fighting while there's not much you can do when exploring other than optimizing your scans (which also takes some time, therefore reduces the efficiency of said optimization).

Exploration is quite strange because it has highest starting up costs of any activity (You can start trading or fighting in couple of thousands credits, while exploration Hauler is going to set you back 4MM) and the payout is relatively low. Sure, the risk isn't big but people still can and do get destroyed due to sloppiness and/or tricky solar systems.

No, as of now Robigo will remain the same as it is right now. There is no change in the change log that will effect Robigo. If you follow the beta the mission pay out is extremely high (40mil per mission or so) but Frontier said that was a bug and has been fixed and reduced to normal pay out. The only thing I can see changing for Robigo is maybe more interdictions and and harder police. Now since they can boost their engines even more, it might be hard to out run them? Who knows. But Robigo, as far as pay out, isn't changing.

They already did this back in 1.5. It used to be even easier than it is now.
