Since interdictions have become somewhat more dangerous since 1.3 dropped a lot of returning explorers are quite possibly going to have a rough time returning, as when they set out going without weapons and minimal shields was a reasonable option.

I would like to suggest an escort service for returning explorers for the last 1k LY to help people home, it could be done either in open or private groups.

Since I'm I'll be in civilisation for the next few days I'll volunteer my services. I can refit (or buy a new) my Asp in a battle tank to provide cover.

I'm in Australia so possibly won't be on at the same time as many people. Any other volunteers?

I flew back home this week and didn't meet a single ship before I hit an inhabited system, it appears far less dangerous than when I set out. Was I just lucky?

I got interdicted three times in two systems, one of them was across a 0.5 ls trip, so, Id say yes. Or, it depends largely on your re-entry point.

I came in without hitting any inhabited systems. I've still not seen a ship in an uninhabited system, even within the bubble.
