Last Main Sequence Star On Route

55K+ LY's from Sol and just noticed this message today; "Last Main Sequence Star On Route".

Class M's are main sequence and after I get this message I jump into more Class M's so the message is bogus and why do I even care if I jump into a system and the star is the last main sequence on my route?

You care, because you can only refuel from main sequence stars.
The message is a warning that you should refuel before continuing.

The route plotter will automatically make sure you land at a main sequence star before you run out of fuel on the route.

Thanks for the response!

Well if that is the case the warning is bugged because like I said in my OP, after I get the message I jump into Class M's that are on my route and I am never low on fuel.

I have gotten this message and the very next star is a star that you can refuel at and I just refueled at the previous star, then the star that I got the message at and then the very next star I jump into so while this is a great idea, it is buggy.

Yes, I've noticed this too.
It does not seem to recalculate once you've started your trip and refueled.
I can have a nearly full tank and a KGBFOAM star selected next and still get the message.

Yeah, I think the route plotter assumes you aren't refueling at every star, and plots the stars on your route that you will need to refuel at if you only scoop at those stars.
If you open the gal map, it will re-plot I think and you'll see "Fuel Star" marked at the last star you can get to without refueling

I think this is as intended. If you tell it you want Fastest it assumes you won't waste time scooping when you don't need to. It puts in the safety net to try and do the Fuel Rats out of business, If you don't like it just pop the galactic map open when you get down to, say, 50% fuel and it'll update.
