Last nights trials.

So, last night I'd had a cruddy day at work and all I wanted to do was watch my New Guardians of the Galaxy Blu Ray and maybe do a bit more mining in Elite (I appear to have a couple of Star Systems with massive Metallic belts to myself, neat).

The wee un decides she doesn't want to watch Guardians (My word that's a bit annoying... I managed not to say).

And then the servers were being a bit pants.

Sigh.

But... eventually I did manage to log on and I did some mining and flew my space plane about and it was nice and relaxing, even the bit when I got interdicted by a Viper and had to run before he stole all my Silver was fun.

And that's why i'm enjoying the game, because I like flying my little space plane about and find it relaxing. So roll on the release.

Well done you ,another miner, last night I got back to my Metallic Pristine Ring, first rock 86.79% pure GOLD, the best I'd ever seen, 47%plat was the best, so I went ahead and mined 5 rocks just as I scooped the first !Bang! server went down, went back soon as it was up, no nothing like it I searched, still had good stuff but no 86%, I shall keep looking. lol

I haven't tried it yet. How do I fit out my ship for it? How do I find good places to go?

First up folks I was trying to point out that even with all the trials the time I spent playing was very relaxing.

That's worth a read though possibly a bit out of date for locations. But basically you need a refinery and a minig laser and some patience.

yes I am sure So many people having problems, my only 2 issues were, could not enter resource area on 2nd attempt, NOW Fixed, and 2nd cant see any group members, no option to link-up, show the group, and names of who's on line, but that's all. And iam sure that will be sorted soon.

Well we wanted to see how cheap we could set up as we were all getting wiped, So in the standard ship, you will need to get rid of your scanner, this the lets you replace it with a 6000cr 1 bin refinery, you then need to sell 1 pulse laser ,and replace it with a Mining Laser, then buy all the data maps check them out and fly to any ringed planet that states, its a metal OR metallic planet, try to find one PRISTEIN there the best, but my son has found a medium metallic and mined 6 platinum 1 gold 1palladium= 142.000cr, now you will want to buy a haulier asap 8cargo hold, But more importantly you must aim for a 3bin hopper or more, as this makes mining more efficient. good luck.

Having been minig with a 1 hopper refinery (I've not got a 3 hopper one) I can only say YES. Save up, beg borrow and steal to get more than one hopper.
