Last stable NVIDIA Driver? 19fps!

Could anyone help, my fps has tanked maybe as of 2 NVidia updates ago, could anyone say what they think the last god driver was?

What card are you running?

I haven't experienced this issue myself. I'm running the latest driver on a GTX 1080 (plain, not 1080i) and I'm not seeing this happen.

I'm on a gtx1080ti, but I swear by driver version 388.71. On my laptop I have a gtx1080 and I've had issues with bad framerates on it, transpired it was due to the fans not ramping up as heat increased resulting in it thermal throttling, the reason I mention my laptop isn't to brag about its spec but I'm thinking that seeing as you have a 980m it obviously a laptop, and something similar could be happening to you?

For me i use, and will continue to use, until i am FORCED to change, driver 388.71

Damn the Green team, Damn Microsoft for continually breaking my fav game EVERY UPDATE!

Running with the Windows 10 April update (fresh install) and the 391.35 drivers. Have you tried doing a clean install with the Nvidia installer? Select the custom option and then check the clean install box. This performs the installations and resets all settings to default values.

As you're not sure what version you're currently on, I'm guessing you're using GeForce Experience? I would recommend discontinuing use of that product now that you're a VR user. As others have said in this thread, find a driver version that's good for you (397.31 is good for me right now) and just stick with it until you're forced to upgrade.

I would suggest in your case:

Remove your drivers using DDU ( Display Driver Uninstaller) in safe mode.
Download and do a clean install of the latest drivers from Nvidia.com.
Only install the driver itself and PhysX, not GeForce Experience or any of that other stuff.

After installing Win 10 (1803) today this worked for me too, thanks.
